THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE DOMAIN
Jacqueline and her team have a single objective in mind : they want Lauriga to be a model estate producing quality wines. We work as a family, in the purest winemaking tradition. Driven by a spirit of sustainable development, we take great care of our vines, the environment, the wine, the family, our employees and our customers. We avoid all forms of waste, energetic and human, and our priority is the pleasure of working together and sharing the satisfaction of contributing to the creation of the “Grands Vins du Sud”, which the wines from LAURIGA and ROUSSILLON are.
MODE OF DRIVING OF THE VINEYARD, WINE MAKING AND AGEING
The vineyards are located on ancient shingle terraces. The rows of vines were planted in relation to the rising sun and the dominant wind, the Tramontane. We take every possible care of our vines. We start tilling as soon as harvesting is over, to help vines recover quickly. We prune so as to avoid maximum growth. We treat the vines as soon as the first buds appear to preserve leaves and grapes. We till to avoid water stress during dry periods. Harvesting is done with great care to bring the grapes in perfect condition to the winery, where the same concern prevails. Wines are continuously controlled until they are bottled at the estate
