THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE DOMAIN

The exceptionally sunny conditions help the vine culture. Grape plantation is composed of 85% of merlot and 15% of cabernet. I’m lucky to own a land next to St Emilion slopes, producing quite exceptional wines for who like powerful and full bodied aromas. I’ve the respect of the terroir that gives taste to the wine. No standardized products, no complaisance to the “mode”, I prefer to use nature and my privileged terroir to make an authentic wine, which doesn’t look like others and has its personality. I age my wine following the tradition passed down by my father, and don’t listen to the business theories…….. My wine, I’m proud of it, it’s the result of alchemy, between my vine and the man I am.

MODE OF DRIVING OF THE VINEYARD, WINE-MAKING AND AGEING

We still have the goal of preserving the family exploitation tradition, the “terroir” spirit…..with all the diversity and love of the product. We use “Guyot” cutting size with an early selection of the fruits for an average yield of 40hl/ha. Minimum weeding is done tight, below the “cep”, with mechanical work in and between the rows. Reasoned treatment excluding any systemic or insecticide product.  From flowering to maturity, we undertake different work such as, pruning, training, clipping, control of the maturity by the family experience. Vinification is Bordelaise traditional, 12 days of fermentation and 3 week of maceration. Aging takes 16 to 24 months, depending on the vintage, in concrete, fiber or stainless steel vats.
